How do I stay in-the-know with world news as a busy college student?

One of the #1 skills we learn in college is time management. It’s the first time we’re exposed to so many interesting and exciting things that are all competing for our time and energy, and it’s completely up to us to choose. As we set our priorities, one of the first things to fall off our radar is news about the outside world because there’s just so much to keep track of already in our own daily lives.

If you’d like the quickest, easiest, and most affordable (it’s free!) way to stay in-the-know on what’s happening in the world, start your day with theSkimm. It’s the first thing we read every morning! One of the best ways to invest in yourself, and your confidence is to feel like you understand what is going on in the world. It also feels great when someone mentions a news event, and you know what they’re referring to, and can even share what you’ve read about it.

theSkimm was founded by SoSheDid ladies (women who believed they could, #SoSheDid!), Danielle Weisberg and Carly Zakin who met studying abroad in college. Their motto is, “We read. You Skimm.” They do all the major reading for you and then send out a daily e-mail at 6A Monday-Friday with the highlights. Founded in 2012, theSkimm now reaches 1.5 million daily readers! Consider it your secret weapon for the day. It’s smart, witty, and quick like you!

Happy Skimm’g!
